Nitrous Kit Question??????

Thanks, do you think it would be worth it and would I run any risk to my motor running an 80 shot?

if i were going to spray that would be at the top of my choices , if you have a 99 and newer the NOS kit 05116NOS thats about the same price is good also , but its adjustable to a bigger shot , get an rpm window switch for any that you decide on and run autolite 764 plugs gapped at .035 and you will be just fine , if you go above 100 shot , get a timing adjuster and back the timing down 2 to 4 degrees

Ya I see that Isn't $725 a bit hight for a 80shot of juice??
Why is it soo much?
I thought they were in the $400-$500 range

most all the newer kits that are specifically designed for the returnless fuel system that are DRY kits cost a little more , the edelbrock is actually one of the nicer ones that has a fuel pump voltage booster that works really nice in delivering the extra fuel through the injectors . really nice kit , the 500 dollar kits are usually universal wet kits .

edelbrock only makes 80 shot for the 99 and newer , if you want that much , go with NOS kit 05116NOS but definitely get a RPM window switch and run the autolite 764s gapped at .035 If you go over 100 shot , get a timing adjuster and back timing off atleast 2 degrees

Gotcha!
I'm all about Top Notch!
I think this is a Nice MOD Although maybe I need a 100 shot?
how much for a 100 shot?

Dude you'll be fine w/ 100 shot but go with NOS they're probably the safest and they give you different jets....so you can start w/ a 75 shot and tune it like set the timing back a little and then when your ready you can put the 100 jet in and pack the timing off 2 degrees for each 50 hp I think right guys? They are right about the plugs but if you really want top notch get the Denso Iridium they are by far the BEST plug for nitrous...but look to spend around $11-12 a plug but it could save your motor so its cheap insurance in my book. Remember that nitrous is not really cheap...those $400-500 kits you see to make them work properly and safely you'll need to put $400-500 more on top of that for like bottle pressure guages, bottle warmer, purge kit, stuff like that. But check with NOS they have good prices and nice kits.

Ok Cool I only Have 1 Question what's a RPM window switch I've heard about them But what are they?
Thanks
Nos Here I come!
It pays to have a fulltime job that affords me to spend fulltime updating my car :bang:

NOS part number 15879NOS , comes on at 3000 and shuts off at 6000 , not sure if you have to use a tach adaptor or something else for this to work on our cars because of the coil set up , someone else might know on here though

YOU hear wrong , any nitrous kits need maintenience , solenoids use magnets and other metal parts , most failures are from rusted magnets in the solenoids , which can happen with any nitrous kit . keep out the moisture and you will be fine , keep them clean and hit with some WD from time to time , hint hint
