I got my zex blackout kit today. I have a couple questions. Do I need to run a colder plug? if so what will this do when I am not running on the spray? If I need to then what should I run? I plan on staying at a 100 shot. What is a good window switch to get? Also is there a way to not start spraying until I am out of 1st gear at the track? I just don't see the tires handleing it.

if you want your nitrous to not spray in 1st you can get the progressive nitrous controller from zex..NOS and Fastlane motorsports sell one too. with the controller you can set it to spray in whatever gear you want.. I could be wrong on this part but i dont think you will need a window switch with the controller... if you do, just get one from zex and you'll be good to go

NGK makes a good plug thats a step colder. The TR6 or something like that...i cant remember what the part # is off hand but its what i am running because i had nitrous on the car for a little bit... you should be perfectly fine running it without nitrous though...

hope that helps a little bit

Usually the stock plug works well with the ZEX and 75-100shot, but I second the idea for the NGK racing plug they hold up well and really you will not notice much difference crusing around.

Yes, do the plugs to be on the safe side. I use copper Autolite 103's. I didn't notice a difference with them, even though they are a colder plug and gapped much tighter.

I'd stick with a copper plug or the TR6's (can't recall if they're copper). I believe Iridium plugs actually have a negative chemical reaction to the nitrous.

People have run a stock tune with a 100 shot or less, but if you have ANY type of performance tune where the timing has been advanced or the fuel has been leaned out, you'll need to tune the car accordingly for nitrous. I used my Diablosport, did some datalogging and tuned accordingly. My plugs looked good and the car runs hard on the spray. I pulled 2-3* WOT timing and added a good bit of fuel at WOT to be safe.
