I am new to the nitrous world and have several ?s

1. Which is the better quality bottle opener: NX or Cold fusion

2. What is the difference between remote bottle opener and remote valve opener?

3. Is the blow down tube one size fits all (notice that the NX NX is a -8AN fitting but the system is a -4AN)

Thanks for any input

As far as bottle opener and valve opener one is a little gate valve in the line you manually have to have the bottle opened the other actually mounts on the vavle on the bottle and opens it itself.

Blowdown tubes come with the need accessory's to mount them. I am running a zex blowdown on a NOS brand bottle.

Why not cold fusion?

Yeah I agree about Dynotune. I like their bottle opener and their prices (got their bottle heater and blanket) but the opener won't work on NXs angled valve.

Maybe CF's openers aren't bad...but their kits are junk!

I was just going to say DynoTune too. To me they have some of the best products out now for cheap prices...That is just my say...I just got some gauges from them and they are top notch.

Just curious. Why do you need a permit for nitrous?

so you can buy it legally in NJ...otherwise I would have to go somewhere to sell it to me illegally and that is just too much trouble

Oh yeah now I recall someone on here stating that here - not sure if it was NJ and/or PA. Do they inspect your vehicle for proper installation - just curious. Here in MD you can not drive around with the bottle opened.

Same thing with the bottle being open here too, but all the permit really does is allow you to get the nitrous. When filling out the application the only car option is for a Race Car so it is really only for the track only.
