Ok just ordered a digital rpm window switch from msd and a single stage retard box part # 8982....i was initially going to do a 2 stage dynotuned chip but found out it would cost north of $800 so thats out the question for me.....i will be running a 100 or 125 shot on a 347 stroker with 10.5:1 compression afr185 heads and a cam ground just for the juice...all forged internals.....with a hundred shot is 8 degrees timing good enough or shoudl i go lower i got the colder plugs already...and the rpm switch is it ok on @ 2500 and off @ 6000 rpm good??

The 8982 is a nice little box, but I like my digital 6, has all the feature of the 8982 and then some.

8* is a good starting point, only your A/F is going to tell you if you can add more timing.

I originally had my rpm activated window switch set at 3000 rpms on, but my car would detonate at the initial hit, so I raised it to 3500 rpms on and no more noise. I have the rpm switch off set at 5000 rpms, I shift at 5200. That way if I miss a shift, or anything goes wrong, no nitrous is in the mix.

What was your timing set at then?....will having the nos on for only 2000 rpm's make that much of a difference..im trying to knock off hopefully a second off my e.t.

On the 75 shot my timing was at 12*. Yes the nitrous on for 2000 rpm will make a difference, check my sig. You do not want to turn the nitrous on too early, turning the nitrous on at low rpms can cause a nitrous back-fire and you don't want one of those.
