Nitrous Setup Question

You don't need a vacuum T for the vacuum lines.

Make sure this is set up correctly! If it isn't you can go lean easily!

It's very simple to set this up:

1. Find your fuel pressure regulator.
2. Take the vacuum hose off of the fuel pressure regulator.
3. Run one of the supplied vacuum hoses from the fuel pressure regular to the bung on the Zex box marked "Fuel Pressure Regulator".

Okay. Now:

4. Find the vacuum hose you disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator back in Step 2.
5. Trace this vacuum hose to the other end.
6. Disconnect this vacuum hose (connects to the manifold elbow).
7. Run the other suplied vacuum hose from the Zex kit from the now open bung on the manifold elbow (where you just removed the hose to the fuel pressure regulator in Step 6) to the bung on the Zex box marked "Manifold".

if my memory serves me correctly, the wire on the tps you are looking for is the middle one. but dont hold me to that without double checking with a volt meter. here are some pics from when i had the zex kit installed to give you an idea of where things can be mounted.

man im a dumbass i still dont understand!!!\

The fuel pressure regulator is a shiny metal object that sits on the rear of the passenger side fuel rail.

Make sure you set this up correctly, the way I explained! If you don't connect the vacuum lines from the the intake to the Zex box to the fuel pressure regulator you will have no extra fuel when you are spraying!

Literally, just find the fuel pressure regulator and follow my instructions line by line.

Is it installed? Please post back how you like this kit, I think with a 100 shot and the H/C/I i have i could have enough power for a while....

This system is plug and play right, has all the safety features so it won't spray without correct fuel pressure? How does it come one, only at WOT or is it rpm adjustable....

sorry for cluttering your thread Guero .... :nice:

It is plug and play.

It regulates fuel pressure by adjusting vacuum to the regulator.

How does it come one, only at WOT or is it rpm adjustable....

It includes a tap into your TPS voltage wire. When it detects WOT throttle conditions it begins spraying.

its just a WOT switch, but i am gonna get a window switch before a i spray

It comes with jets for a 75 shot, a 100 shot, and a 125 shot.

You could buy other jets for a smaller shot (50?).

You could probably run a bigger shot with this kit, again buying other jets, if you run a high volume/flow fuel pump, have high flow injectors, and manually set your fuel pressure higher.

from your signature it looks like you still have a stock fuel system. i had similar mods as you when my zex kit with the 75hp jets was in. i was running very lean and didnt know it until i got on the dyno. here is a scan of the sheet. get that thing on a dyno asap to avoid a potential disaster.

pulls 1 and 3 were n/a, pull 2 was on the bottle, all pulls were in 4th gear.....

The fuel pressure regulator is the little round thing [not the EGR valve] behind the intake manifold near the throttle body? has 1 hose coming off the middle of it?

is this the one?
