Ok, I have my eye set on some kits, and im leaning more towards a plate system for 1 reason.

I have a K&N FIPK on my GT, which is a plastic intake instead of metal like most others. Thats good, cause it doesnt hold heat like metal.

Im afraid that it would make it more difficult to drill/tap for a nitrous jet though. Is it just as easy as a metal intake tube or will it prove to be more difficult?

If not, I feel very close to being set on Cold Fusion, Zex, or possibly a re-worked NX Mainline kit.

If plate will be easier im going to most likely ****** (it wont let me say sn at ch...?) up a NX Mainline plate system.

The FIPK would probably be easier to tap, because it's not metal. I do recommend the plate kit over the regualr jet kit though. The plate kit allows the nitrous/fuel to disperse more even into the cylinders because it does not have to travel as far. NX has great service too.

Yeah the kit I am looking it is a NX Mainline kit with the plate added in, and the rest of the wiring/switches to make it complete. I like the fact that its NX quality but it doesnt offer a 75hp jet like many other kits do.

I want to stick to a fairly budget kit, thats $400. There are a couple of others ive seen under $400 that are nice looking kits, but not plate. ZEX also has some kits right over $500 that are nice. So many choices, its a real PITA... hahaha.

Every kit I have seen offers a 75 shot, so I have no idea what kit you are looking at  . Why not go for 100? :D

No worries on tapping the non metal intake tubes. I have a stock one and its been tapped for a while now with no issues. That all being the case though if I had it to do over again I would go with the NX plate system for the aforementioned reasons. Oh and 75shots are for wussies. You wouldnt leave that nozzle on for a week before it would be changed out for a larger one.
