Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the plate goes underneath the upper intake plenum (between the upper and lower plenum). In other words, you shouldn't have any problem with a plate.

For a 150 shot or less, you are wasting your money with a direct port kit. By direct port, I mean a system with 1 nozzle per cylinder.

A single nozzle or plate kit is the way to go. It will save you a ton of money and will be alot simpler to install.

With a single nozzle kit, the nozzle should be mounted 6-10" in front of the throttle body in the intake piping. With a plate kit, the plate fits between the upper and lower intake manifolds.
