Nitto NT 555 315/35/17???

I am running the 275/40/17 Nitto DR's and the wet and dry traction is great. So I am sure the 315's would be alot better. BTW they also wear really good. I think I can get alot of miles out of these tires.

Im running the 555r in 315/35/17 and they have ok wet traction but when it is cold they are as hard as rocks. I have no problem spinning them at will when its cold out. They are nice during the summer but I think im going to go with something else next time. When my tires wear out next I think its time for new rims.

I hafe the 555r 315/35/17s and I like them alot. I have full suspension so its a bit harder for me to judge how they would act on a stock suspension car but I have a hard time getting them to break loose on a wet at a stop light.

Can you guys post up pictures? I am debating on getting these tires, vredestien sessantas, or goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. The price comparison is the same between the nittos and the sessantas, but the goodyears are $200 more so .... I am just debating between the Sessantas and the nittos.

I'm running them (Non DR) over here in England, they actually do better in the rain than my 8" snow tires did!

They've been to the track alot as well and the rears barely have less tread than the front 9"ers. I've got 8k miles on them and they still almost look new.

Nittos SUCK for traction.

if you have any type of power adder, forget about hooking on these

Mine stick just fine... With 35 psi at the track the other week I was cutting low 2.1X 60's. I know it's not great, but you can't really expect anything under a 2.0 on any street tire any way.

As to wet, they hold to the street great, no excess hydroplaning or anything. In the dry they aren't as good as a purpose built summer tire, but all around they are great tires.

im running the 315 d.rs and lemme just say this- before with the OE goodyears i had to be careful banging second gear or the ass would come out, with the nittos theres barely a chirp out of em into second.
also at the track i cut a 1.9 60 with almost stock suspension (just springs) and not the best burnout so i don't know why some think they suck for traction, i think they are pretty good. especially for a street tire..
get em, you wont be disappointed. you'll need wider rims for 315's btw.
