No brake lights! Crap!

My brake lights were working fine the other day. Got to the WFC (which rocked!) today and the guy behind me says, "Uh, hey man you don't have any brake lights." So I checked the switch and it's good. even when I depress the switch manually it still doesn't work! It's my daily driver and I'm out of ideas. :Damnit:

How do you know the switch is good? Do you have voltage going in and leaving when the switch is closed?

If so, I'd go to the lights and test for voltage coming in.

Good luck.

does the 3rd brake light work? Check the hazzards. If they dont work then you have a fuze issue or fuse block issue. If the hazzards work then the fuze is OK and you have a switch issue.

Magic 8-ball says, "Signs point to yes":D .
There's a good chance it is. Check the plastic part of the plug for signs of melting, and inspect the wires going into it. Make sure to attach a couple of paper clips to the probes on your multimeter to be certain that you're getting down to the contacts inside the plug.

I guess your third brake light wasn't working, either?

The BOO will not interfere with hazards. If you have neither BOO nor hazard function, and there's power to and from the fuse, the issue is likely to be found in the wiring shortly after it leaves the 'output' of the fuse (before it branches off).

Good luck.
