I am not sure, but I know the ones I have fit pre 87.

I used Infinity Kappas in mine and ran all new thicker speaker wire. The new speaker wire is what makes the difference. The stock wiring is to thin to supply enough power to the speakers and they become distorted. I run new speaker wire in all my cars, its a night and day difference in sound quality.

Good call. I also plan on running new wiring once I figure out what set of speakers I'm going to go with.
