Hey guys,

I currently cannot get heat to blow through my defroster. I drained the coolant, flushed the heater core and flushed the system using a prestone flush. While I was doing the flush (and running the heat to cycle it), i still could not get heat, but I noticed that my ac compressor was running and the ac lines were ice cold. The water lines goinging into the heater core are hot.

I unplugged the ac and then I got heat. Plugged it back up and lost heat. Any suggestions here? I have tried the heat from start up to when the car is idling in traffic at 200*...still no heat. Unplugging the ac is the first time I have felt heat. I can also turn the knob that controls how hot or cold you want the air, I do get some type of response out of this, but it just goes from cold air to luke warm air.

Thanks in advance!

Joe

Open or remove the glove box and look to see if the temp control cable is operating properly. Make sure the cable isn't popped out of its mounting bracket and that it is properly attached to the lever that moves the temp blend door.
