I think he means cut the plastic part of the bumper cover to the left and right of the grille opening, and attach them to the new bumper so the hood gap is less. That's alot of work there. Nuts to that!

How would the gap be with a stock hood, and a 99-01 Cobra bumper? I've always been curious.

I don't think there is any gap there. and yes, that idea is nuts. i thought that's what he meant, but that just sounds like the dumbest thing ever to do

ShapeShifter----don't take no crap from anybody here. I like your car. In fact I am going to copy a few details off of it. I am not going with Saleens, but the '03 Cobra rear spoiler and Mach 1 spoiler really pull it off. I like that subtle look. My calipers will get painted aluminum or steel colored if anything.

because in order to get them off a cobra bumper, you gotta BUY a cobra bumper then chop it up. What a waste... plus it's gunna cost you a fortune to have all that custom work done.

Agreed and it will look funny I bet...because noone will be able to get it perfect. And WOW talk about expencive! They will charge insane amounts to do that.

Anyways your car will look SICK with the 03-04 bumper on it...I LOVE those bumpers. I know I dont need to tell you...but DEFINATLY GET US SOME PICS WHEN ITS DONE

i dont mean to get them off a cobra bumper..i mean take your stock bumper and chop it up. mold the stock bumper pieces to the new bumper. my body shop wont even charge much to do it, he does that kind of work every day. he did the 51(?) Starliner for Summit. He is awesome at what he does. (Jeff Volker)

Congrats Ambo, the new bumper cover will look awesome with your excellent Cobra hood. The only thing I do not like about the Cobra bumper cover is that the fogs are just like most trucks and minivans. IMHO the GT fogs are actually better looking because they are more unique. Seems like every vehicle on the street these days has round fogs low and outside just like Cobras...

I'm actually debating if I want to get the fogs. I may just do the bezels with no fogs. Still debating if it's worth the extra $200 seeing the fogs won't match my HIDs anyway

What I'm excited about is I have yet to see a crystal white (not the 03 Oxford White) cobra front bumper done.
