I used to think mr clean car wash was great, but now I found some products a freind recommended.
Here is some pictures of my Durango (I know it isnt a pony car) but thought you might be interested anyway.

I began by washing with sonus gloss shampoo, it super slick and cleans like crazy!!
The real thing I noticed was the shine the soap left. Check it out!

Sonus Gloss shampoo
Meguiars wash mop it comes with an extendable handle!! I reached the entire roof(I still did use a stool)
No more sponge for me!!
meguiars water magnet drying towel
This towel really does dry this big SUV with just one time to wring out the water.

To clean the tires and rims I used
Sonus Rim Brite

Then I dressed the tires and door trim with
sonus total eclipse

Im used this to clean the wax build up on the door handles. I just scrubbed it with a house sponge and it came off!!

I plan on buying the Porter cable polisher in a few eweeks!! To buff out the scratches(I think thats what they are) they look mlike soider webs....

I also found a cool guide to
detailing guide from autopia
This place rocks!!
They even have a review section.Reviews on products

Looks great, but that is still more complicated and more expensive than Mr. Clean. You are still going to get hard water spots by using the soap. With Mr. Clean you don't have to worry about water spots or drying off the car. Just seems easier to use Mr. Clean.

Yup autopia.org has some great info as well as detailcity.com. You should look into poorboys world bold and bright tire shine. It has some cleaners to help white'n up white walls or letters while leaving and nice sheen look.

Yes I know mr clean is easir but the end result is worth the extra effort.
I only had a few water spots on the glass.
Cool, thanks for the tip on the bold and brite. (More stuff to try)

Well, a lot of those scratches are deep in the clearcoat, I dont think wax could take care of them. So, apparently the PorterCable is good enough to cut into the clearcoat and get rid of them?

I only use the Mr. Clean thingy to rinse the car off. I have never had any water spots and on a black car, those are the worst. Not a bad deal for the price of the refill filters. Hey, whatever works for you.
