No power mirrors on an 89????

Is it possible? I'd like to replace the power mirrors with manual, what do I do with the middle consol? What did ford do with the standard mirror models, did they have a consol with no hole for the switch or some sort of plastic cover for it???

Yes, the no power mirror cars had a console without a hole. My car originally came with no power options. You will probably have to look on ebay or classifieds if you want to find one.

Late model restoration sells new console peices without the hole, but unsure what colors they have it in

I remember when ford replaced one on my 92 under warranty, the piece came unpainted and the hole not cut out. They had to paint it and cut the square out. It was marked on the bottom where to cut though. You could always use the hole for a couple of switches with a custom panel over the opening. It could be double/sided taped down to the console. Just a thought.
