Hey guy I'm having some issues with my 4.6 im losing power around 5k rpm. Mods the car has are as follows offroad x-pipe,flowmasters,k&n intake, trickflow upper intake, and ported lower intake. The kid that previously owned the car ported the lower intake is it possible he messed the the power curve up by not knowing what he was doing and porting the lower intake or could there be something more to the problem? Maybe not enough fuel or something I wouldn't think this would be the problem but any input is appreciated.

How did this "kid" port a plastic intake?

When you say you're losing power over 5K, can you be more specific? When stock, the 1996 GT was rated at 215HP at just 4400RPM. The mods on your car don't do much to address the non-power-improved ("NPI") lower intake or cylinder heads. It would make sense that after 5000RPM, 600RPM past the power peak, your car is "losing power."

Do you have, say, a dyno nearby that you can put the car on to generate a baseline?

The car just feels really slow. I'm assuming he used a dremel of some sort to port the upper part of the lower intake. He said he ported it so much there were barely any sidewalls left. I had a pretty much stock 1991 gt with the 5.0 and it just seems like the 4.6 is very slow and unusually slow after about 5 thousand rpms its like im driving a 4 cylinder after I reach 5k? I just pictured the car being a bit quicker than it feels maybe I'm completely mistaken.
