no pull after 4k

My car has started going crazy. It will not pull after 4k tachs goes crazy RPM going up and down never constantly climbing. Just got a tune up and thought it would fix this problem well it didnt. I'm lost on what to do hate to take it to a shop and tell them this they make take me and say I need a whole new bottom end or something.

well, if the rpms are shooting up and you are going faster, then your clutch might be slipping

sounds like the spout connector is out! Did you mess with the timing because thats exactly how mine did when I forgot to put it back in after the head and intake install. Might check to be sure the fireing order is correct as well.

check your air temp sensor. Mine was doing something like that because it was running 20:1 air fuel. I picked up 50hp too.

I had a problem similar to this and it turned out to be the distributor's internals were bad.

Can't be clutch It's a FMS King Cobra Clutch and its been in my car since last year. I got Anderson Ford Motorsports plug wires they were a butt to get on (little tight). The car was doing this before the tune up and we didn't mess with the timing. It doesn't do it every time I get past 4k. Does that narrow down the options of what it could be?
