Noise from clutch

I get a strange chatter/ticking sort of noise from my clutch. If I am hearing the sound and i press the clutch pedel slightly the noise will stop. Sometimes it will come back after I let off the pedel other times it will go away for some time. Anyone have an idea what it could be? Do i need a new quadrant or clutch cable?

Edit. The sound is not very loud but, i know it is there and it get's to me knowing something is not right

it wouldn't hurt to get the adjustable clutch components you didn't say mileage or if you have ever upgraded the tranny so i'll assume its all stock. it may be time for a new throwout bearing retainer, i had some what of a similiar noise went away with new tranny, i fortunately/unfortunately blew up the T5 and now have a 3550.

My 01' V6 does the same thing. Took it in under warrenty and fixed the problem for about two days. Now it's back to doing that again.

car has 67k on it. I was thinking of just getting new quadrant, firewall adjuster and cable, would it be best to get adjustable cable along with firewall adjuster instead of non-adjustable cable. Kit price is same no matter which cable i

mine squeaked real bad when there was no pressure on it, but the slightest bit of pressure made it go away. I changed the throwout bearing and this solved my problem.
