I've been hearing a dull squealling on the right side front of my 95 mustang. I hear it while driving and if i get out of the car and push down on that side. I'm thinking i could need new shocks/struts. Does anyone know what this could be? or how i can find out what is making the noise?

Also i have a noise in the right rear of the car as well, i can hear it when i accelerate very fast and if i push against the right rear of the car...it's a clunking noise. I suspect it is something with the suspension. Anyone know where i can start to find the problem?

Thanks

I've owned a 94 Thunderbird SC, and i have a 94 GT now and bolth cars did the same exact thing. Iv heard that its problly my struts but idk, it seems to stop in the winter, but when summer hits it starts again. It happens when i turn my steering wheel too.

If it does it when you push the car down, and it rebounds up. It may be ball joints. Try greasing the front end, or get a suringe (sp) with some penetrating oil in there, then put the suringe right into the rubber part of the ball joint and shoot the oil in there and see if it goes away, if it does you know where the problem is. Ball joints, along with tie rods can start to squeek like that due to moisture getting trapped inside of the boots, then starting to rust the joints away. Ford has had great problems with that happening on the ranger/explorers
