Noisy clutch cable after quadrant + firewall adjuster install ?

I had problems since last year with the clutch. It was grabbing way too high.(right on top). I changed the clutch, brand new flywheel, tranny has been opened up last winter (everything was perfect). I just installed a UPR triple hook quadrant(middle position I'm using), with a Xtreme Firewall adjuster, this morning. I adjusted it ok. Now it grabs in the middle and I can actually make the car "move" just with the clutch, without touching the gas. But now I'm hearing some weird noise under the dash. It sounds like the cable over-stretching or something...Everything looks fine but its very annoying.

Is this normal with aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster ?

The only thing I didnt change related to the clutch is the cable..Is it finished ?

Any help appreciated.

The noise definitely isn't normal. Is it the stock cable or a replacement? As long as your quadrant is in right and the cable isnt binding, it's probably time for a new cable.

It is the stock cable. I just put some white grease on the quadrant and cable and it seems to quiet a lot. Hopefully everything is ok.
