Noisy console

Hey I'm wondering if anyone has made their center console quiet up. I know where the noise is comming from, and it's getting a little annoying. It's comming from the top right of the shifter boot/plastic housing thing. It's the part that snaps into the console, usually black. The top right corner will pop out at times, and I'm wondering if anyone has fixed this somehow.

Yes, I had the same problem. I put a drop of black permatex in all 4 corners. Just don't go over board or it will squeeze out everywhere. Good thing is you can still pull it apart if you need to. Also will help if you put something heavy on the corners for a few hours afterwards. I used a couple heavy (and clean) wrenches.

Did you put it on the clips? Or just in the corners?

The front got just a dap next to the clips. On the back driver side the clip had to be eliminated due to a switch I was putting in that spot, so I put it all around that one. I ran a small bead all the way across to the passanger side clip. Worked great. I could get a pic tommorow of what I'm talking about with the swich and stuff if you need.

mine did that. i used a few peices of paper to wedge it tighter. Worked great!

ive used small pieces of double sided tape for such things, as well. just got to try some stuff. i hate rattles like that.

:OT: is anyone having issues with the pages in here? the banner at the top covers the search button, etc half the time. if i try to search, it is like the page shifted to the right, and i cant move it over (im left lookin at a blank page but see the left edge of the page on the far right side of the screen).

That hasn't happned to me in a while, but I have noticed lot of weird things with the site latley.

I thought exhaust was for the suspension.
