I've been driving my 66 for awhile now. I noticed a small noise coming from the engine compartment. It sounds like it's coming from the clutch. Like the bearing vibrating.
Is it possible to have something vibrate loose? When I push the clutch in it gets a little quieter..

Any ideas?

Sounds like a throw out bearing to me.

Does the noise stop or just quiet down ? If it stops it is most likely the throw out bearing. If it doesn't stop then it might be the pilot bearing draging the input shaft of the trans. It could also be other things...
