Noisy shifter

on my three speed in car the shifter rattles and is very annoying does anyone else have this issue or fix that you can share?

Swap it out for a 5 speed
If that's not in your plans, there are springs in the shifter that are likely worn out allowing it to wobble under vibration. They make shifter rebuild kits that are inexpensive and easy to install. Check Mustangs Unlimited or CJ Pony.
