Hey guys i need some advice on converting a early non roller block to roller. i am using all ford lifters and spider. my questions are how deep do i need to drill and tap the holes? i am putting e7 heads on it so i am just gonna use push rods for a roller motor that will be ok right? any advice will help thanks

My advice would be to just start with a roller block to begin with. Junkyards around here will sell you a 5.0 roller block out of a crown vic/grand marquis for under $100; far less than the cost of converting a non-roller block.

+1 its so much easier. i used an early block once.i didnt bother doing the conversion i just used a flat tappet cam that matched the firing order for the fuel injection.it work great.
