my non turbo 2.3 went out on me at 213k miles. i was looking into getting a 2.3 turbo block. to do this will i need a whole new rear end? or will the rear end that was set up for a non turbo 2.3 work? will the transmission i was using for the non turbo work for the turbo 2.3?
i have a 5 speed. the tranny is in good shape i just redid the entire clutch, but i need a new suspension. is there anything i will have to replace on the car for the turbo block? or will everything from the non turbo block work together?
If it's a 5 speed it'll be fine. It's the same transmission the turbo cars used anyway.
As for what you need to replace...if you're talking about accessories, everything will swap over. The engine itself is basically identical, save for the forged pistons, and turbo.
