I finally got my first 'stang it's a Mustang GT 2002 5Spd black with black leather... yesterday I checked the oil and found out that the oil dipstick look like spiral!?!?!? Is it normal??? because it's a pain you know where to put it back!

Finally I'm stanging!!!

P.S.: Sorry if I mistreat you language!!! I'm from Quebec and doing my best to learn english!

You did better than most people that speak fluent english, so kudos on that one.

My dipstick is more of a whip, with a plastic tip on the end. I can't imagine that's what yours looks like from the description, but I believe I have seen the one you've mentioned before, and it is a pain to get back in. I would think a dipstick from another 4.6 Mustang would work just the same, but don't quote me on that. If they are the same length, and have the same markings in the same place, then you could use a different stick.

Congrats on the stang tho! Have fun with it, drive it like you stole it, and, PICS!

Confusing? More like retarded. I always wondered how the **** you're supposed to properly measure the level, when the oil weight Ford calls for is so thin it falls right off the thing on the way up the dipstick tube. I can't recall a single instance where it didn't take 3 or 4 tries to measure it properly on mine.

Oh, and don't worry about mistreating our language. lol.

It's so the oil won't go up the stick and out the hole.
