in my 2000 GT it takes forever for it to get to normal operating temp ( to the left of the middle im hoping) I basically take the same route all the time. I go through 5- 7 miles of traffic and stops. So I'm thinking it would heat up quickly. I can get to my destination and it would be a little past 3/4 of the gauge. This happened after I just did a coolant flush. But maybe the cooler weather is contributing to this as well?? Anybody know if that is normal activity.

Mine takes longer than some cars (Audi, VW, Saab) in the morning on the same route to work. I think that they just warm up slowly by nature. However, you say that it gets to 3/4 gauge after a coolant flush...that sounds like you have some air in the system. You might need to bleed it out. Does your cooling fan come on when it gets that hot (highest should be at the most 1/2 gauge)?

+1. If you use your digi gauge, youll see it reaches 85* C while the needle is still on the left.
