Normal wait time, after a lower manifold?

what is the normal wait time, to start up and run the car, after a lower manifold install?

I would let it set. I went out and tromped on mine about 2 hours after the lower had been torqued down and I blew the seals out on the front and back. I would let it sit overnight just so you don't have to do it over again.

Opps, I kinda miss read the question. Yeah, you can start up the car and fill the anit-freeze right after you get all the other stuff on. Just don't take it out for a good thrashing. I got greedy, took it up past 5k and pop...

That would suck! In a perfect world, the lifter valley is not supposed to become pressured during normal operation of the engine...

After you get everything put on, you should start your car and let it just idle for a while to let those gaskets set, after the car heated up and ran for a while, take it out and baby it for a while, but after a couple days of breaking it in, time to get on

when i did mine....i let it sit and idle for awhile and let everything sit up kinda nice....then let it cool down....started it again...idle for a little while, took it out....and wound it up a little bit....but not a thrashing....everything was fine....DONT SKIMP ON THE RTV!

I'd let it sit for 3 or 4 hours so that the RTV can properly cure. Otherwise, you may get a leak!!
