Normal wait time, after a lower manifold?

I would let it set. I went out and tromped on mine about 2 hours after the lower had been torqued down and I blew the seals out on the front and back. I would let it sit overnight just so you don't have to do it over again.

Opps, I kinda miss read the question. Yeah, you can start up the car and fill the anit-freeze right after you get all the other stuff on. Just don't take it out for a good thrashing. I got greedy, took it up past 5k and pop...:bang:

That would suck! In a perfect world, the lifter valley is not supposed to become pressured during normal operation of the engine... :D

After you get everything put on, you should start your car and let it just idle for a while to let those gaskets set, after the car heated up and ran for a while, take it out and baby it for a while, but after a couple days of breaking it in, time to get on

when i did mine....i let it sit and idle for awhile and let everything sit up kinda nice....then let it cool down....started it again...idle for a little while, took it out....and wound it up a little bit....but not a thrashing....everything was fine....DONT SKIMP ON THE RTV! :nice:
