Nos

Dont guy the zex crap. It will say your spraying a 100shot but its really like a 85 shot. If you want a good quality nitrous set up get a nitrous express wet kit for the best bang for the buck. 100 shot is about as much as I would push on the stock block. I wouldnt even get a tune I would leave the timing alone also. But make sure you change the plugs and gap them correctly **someone can chime in and suggest the correct gaping cause im not good with it **.

With the NX kit buy the genx2 upgrade. Welll worth the money if you wanna use your nitrous the right way. The newer kits of NX comes with a WOT ( wide open throttle) switch. Which all it does it activates the nitrous when the throttle is wide open * pedal to the floor * and also pick up a MSD Window Switch. A must for a safe nitrious set up. Basically the window switch will allow your nitrous to start spraying at a certain RPM. Generally people set it to 3500 rpm but its all up to you. I have yet to install my NX kit but mine will be set up at 3500rpm. Good luck on your nitrous purchase you'll love it. Cheap horse power and tq rules

EDIT: Make sure to have a good drag radial if you have a nitrous set up cause you will get little to no traction. Nitto Drag Radials would be good !

zex makes a little less power than a couple of other systems, but everything is electronically controled so its as safe as nitrous can be, not to mention its a little cheaper and will make as much power as will be safe and btw theres a good spark plug thread on modular depot tells you how many steps colder you need your plugs

The NX kit is what alot of the modular guys get and it's a great kit.

I've only seen one Zex kit on a mustang and it was a clean looking kit if you place the main system box (No clue what the name of this would be) in a good location.

I ran a NOS kit at one point in time (received it for free) and I started with a 75 and ran a 100 a few times.

The 75 is a great starting point, though I wouldn't go over a 100.

The Zex kit isn't bad, they just rate their shot at the flywheel like NOS. They just use smaller size jets for their 100 shots versus the size of NX's jets for 100 shots.

I have an NX wet kit spraying a 100 shot and have almost 70,000 miles on my car. I don't use a drop of oil between 5,000 mile changes.

Get a tranny cooler though, its a must. Heat kills these autos, keep them cool and they will run for a long time.

Well said :nice:

I personally never saw a Zex kit in person or saw one on a car personally but from the talk I have heard on the net and by people on the street told me that Zex just isnt worth the money. But personally if im gonna go all out and go nitrous than I would get NX IMO its more bang for the buck.

But good luck no matter what kit you install you'll have fun with it haha.
