Ok, new guy here....I've done the searching, found threads on 4-cyl to 302 swaps, and it seems like all replies are opinions about it. I need facts. Got a 1990 lx notch with the poor 4 and 5 speed tranny. Gonna swap to a 5.0 efi. Tell me what I need to change to convert to the 302 and a T-5 or Tremec 3550 and the 8.8 rearend. All help is appreciated.
 
Yes, but being as you are putting them on a 15+ year old car, it isnt THAT easy. The holes for the exhaust hangers are going to be filled with crap etc.
If you are going to swap out the rear or any of the suspension parts, it isnt worth it to switch to the fox v8 stuff, just switch to the SN95 style with front coil overs.

Virtually all mustang parts are direct bolt in. They were disigned and assembled with interchangability in mind, for instance, if your 4cyl dosent have pwr windows, it still has the pwr window harness in the dashboard so all you need is a pair of pwr window doors. Check this out for interchangability
