i think that cow paint job is the peeling thing to protect the paint, why would anyone want a car paintjob?

The "cow" paint job is actually used to distort the lines of the new car. The velcro places on the car were probably where they attached the "bra's" in order to disguise front/rear fascias, etc. I'm guessing that these were some of the early pre-production cars that they have now wired for long-term (road trip) diagnostics. As we all know, most folks have at least seen pics of the silver or red pre-production models (if not in person at a car show), so the "cow" paint doesn't serve much of a purpose anymore. Ford probably didn't want to waste the $$$ on the cars to have them re-painted, since they will likely be crushed at the end of testing. :( That is, unless some lucky Ford employee is able to salvage them.

they have michigan license plates, those are the same ones ford released in detroit..my dads co-worker in alabama told me he saw one at the gas station that had a funny looking paint job to it..i guess they are driving them around the US to see how they run with alot of miles on em...im suprised those guys havent got jacked yet:)

Nice did the drivers ever see you taking pics ?

I saw 3 cars driving through Houston traffic a few months ago that were in camafluge, and I couldn't even tell what they were. They had plastic panles stuck all over them like armor, they looked to be some big BMW, or Mercades. I was like "ohh yeah I've come up on some tester / spy vehicles. OK WTF are they ?" Never figured it out.

The picture I posted of it was taken last year sometime. A guy had seen it in an apartment complex that I think was in Florida somewhere. It had a bra and a rear cover to help camoflage it. The reason you only see the car and not the back ground is because the guy purposely blurred out the location as to not get the guy who was driving it in trouble. I have a few other pictures from that day. I don't remember which board I got them from.

No, I waited until I was sure they didn't see me and I acted nochalunt when they did or else I figured they would of made a stink about it.

I love the way the new seats are in it. reminds me of a vette the way it *hugs* you in place. I for one cannot stand my leather seats that came with my GT. I slide everywhere on them going around corners..

just some guy -
yep, you noticed it too about the trunk not lining up on the drivers side...I saw that when I got the pics back and didn't realy notice untilo then because I was kinda looking over my shoulder to make sure the Ford guys didn't see me...(I left my vert running in case I had to lickity-split! lol)

btw..the plates were Michigan plates but they also said "Manufactures Plate" toward the bottom ...pretty neat since I see "dealer" all the time.
