Not running like it was at the track last year.

Been to the track twice this year, fist time did not count my injector was messed up and I only did one run. Last night I got in 4 runs with disappointing results. From my point of view I'm driving the car much of the same way I was last year and maybe its all me and nothing to do with the car but damn Im running crappy times. My MPH is off by 4-6 MPH and it just feels like its falling flat on its face in the upper RPM's. The only changes to the car have been this. I had a Bassani Catted X pipe put on and I pulled off the upper intake to fix a fuel injector. Other then that the car is EXACTLY as it was last fall I dont suspect the cats having that much of an effect. Is it possible the bolts are not tight enough on the upper intake and its leaking out air? Let me know what you guys think here are the times. My best from last year and then some from last night.

Last Years best. 10-5-07

60' - 1.808

330- 5.350

1/8th- 8.262

MPH- 83.45

1000- 10.781

1/4-12.884

MPH- 107.61

Last Nights Best

60'- 1.944

330- 5.688

1/8- 8.776

MPH- 80.91

1000- 11.430

1/4- 13.647

MPH- 104.27

I know my 60' on my best time last night was not as good as my best run last year but not to the point to explain the 1/4 time difference. Here is a run where my 60' was just about as good but the rest of the run was blown b/c third kicked back out at me while trying to shift into it so its only the first part of the run for comparison

60'- 1.871

330- 5.625

1/8- 9.068

MPH- 73.77

Like I said Im driving the car pretty close to the same way I was before but the times are just way off, do you guys think its just me or could there be more to it?

PS: The one cool thing last night was on one run I cut a RT of .004 and my car number for the night was 004 :D

It was between 17% to 24% humidity from the first run to the last 73 to high 60's. I may have found one cause though. When I just had it running I noticed an exhaust smell coming from the drivers side down by the headers. I cant smell it over on the passengers side. Do you think its possible that I have an exhaust leak coming from the header to X pipe connection from when it was installed and if so would this effect my times to that extent?

Did your car have cats last year? That could be your performance difference

No it didn't, I had an O/R H pipe and now it has a catted X pipe but that's what I mentioned in my first post as far as I wouldn't think it would make that much of a difference especially from a 12.8 to a 13.6 and a difference of 107-104 MPH
