I'm trying to install a CB radio in my 1994 GT. The directions simply say.

"1. Connect the black wire to your vehicle's negative terminal or to a metal part of the frame. 2. Connect the red wire with in-line fuse, to an accessory terminal that turns on and off with the ignition switch, such as a spare accessory terminal in your vehicle's fuse box."

That is greek to me. I really don't know what to look for under my dash, if anyone has any ideas, i'd appreciate it.

Go to the fuse box, under the dash and find an accessory power source(one that turns on and off with the key). Connect that to the red wire. Then just run the black wire to a metal brace under the dash.

Ground/Black Wire, look under dash, under carpet and find a factory ground to connect to.

The red wire, strip off about 3/4" of the insulation. Go to the fuse box and find the fuse for like, wipers, or radio, something that only works when the key is not turned forward. I usually try to find a fuse that powers something that I could do without in a pinch. Then pull the fuse, wrap the wire around one leg of the fuse. Just once around, then slide it back into the slot. They do make connectors that will slide in with the fuse so you don't have to wrap the bare wire around the fuse leg.

If you have anymore questions, just ask. I don't have one in my 93 now, but have in the past, very easy to hook up.

a radar detector finds cops at a line of site well used to now the lazer is so fast the can paint u and turn it off before u know what hits u.. cb radio a trucker 20 miles away can tell u exactly where the cop is so u have plenty of time to slow down and not get a ticket, and besides u get to hear crazy people talking and all sorts of stuff on the cb radio. hasnt anyone ever seen Smokey and the Bandit? or Convoy? or Joyride?
