this is my 68 cougar that i am offering up for sale. just have too many nice cars just sitting. time to thin it out a little.
this car is 100% ready to drive anywhere anytime. it is also in show driver quality condition. it also retains the original drive train from the 289 v8 to the 3 speed manual top loader transmission to the 2.79 ratio 8 inch rear axle.
i also have a complete original a/c set up that will fit this car for a little extra money. otherwise i may use it in a another build.
the car has disc brakes up front, 4 barrel carb and intake, billit distributor and high output wires, chrome valve covers and air filter. it also has full length hooker headers, and a full 2.5 inch magnaflow exhaust. the engine trans and rear axle have also been fully rebuilt/refreshed.
suspension has also been up graded with bigger sway bar to the front, added a sway bar in the rear, sport springs, shocks, and urathane bushings all way round. all ball joints engine and tranny mounts, and bushings have been upgraded to urathane as well.
interior is like new, restored with no wear or tears anywhere. it has an all new custom auto meter guage cluster set with digital odometer, 4 guage set, and tach all mounted in a factory set up. very clean. it has a billit steering wheel, cd player with super high quality speakers, hidden sub woofer and amp in the trunk. the trunk is finished in nice black carpet.
the exterior is a solid 8.5 out of 10. has the metal dan gurney ram air hood, deck lid spoiler, and a black pearl over silver pearl two tone paint. it has 17 inch torque thrust wheels painted to match with cougar center caps and 8 inch wide low profile tires.
this car runs and drives absolutly perfect with out any flaws. the sequential tail light work perfect as well as the hide-a-way head lights.
this car is an absolute head turner, everyone swarms this car like no other i have seen. compliments everytime i take it out.
this is an original all metal car, no rust, no bondo, no surprises. i have ALL original documentation to this car including the dealer invoice, title from 1969, window sticker, warranty cards, and owners manuals. among a whole folder of other documents to this car from day one.
i am the third owner of the car, the first owner had it until about 4 years ago.
i have the car insured for $25,000 with hagerty insurance. these cars are hard to find and harder to find this nice.
