notchback guys speaker inquiry

what size speaker you end up installing in the back?
Been doing some searches anyone get a 6X9 in there?
I havent tried to crawl in the trunk yet to see what the deal is and why so many have trouble installin a speaker of that size so I fugured Id ask.

Pics would be apprecited.
I would like to not cut thru the rear deck carpet though.

I have 6x8 Infinity Kappas in mine. The previous owner did have some 6x9s there though, so I'd imagine they'd fit. If I remember right they actually had fit better than the 6x8s, but I'm not sure.

you can always bottom mount 6x9's and not worry about the carpet at all.

yes thats the way im going. I finally had the chance to get into the back of the car and check things out. I'll mount em from underneath and leave the factory carpet. They also sell molded adaptors for 5x7/6x8 to 6X9 speaker installs. There $15 and its prob worth it rather than fabbin something else up to channel the sound back into the car.
