Probably not going to happen. STi's trapping 84-85 are getting 2.16's there. People with drag radial's are getting 2.0's. I just need to try a different track - Qualcomm is mainly for fun.

Well I am PI swapped over but I have before and after times and dyno #'s. Before I had o/r xpipe with bullet mufflers. 3.73s. dynoed at 191hp/270tq and ran 9.70s at 70mph. after with mods in sig I have ran 8.90s at 78mph and dynoed at 241hp/295tq. BTW the car has 194,000 miles on it with original engine. If ya'll wont some before and after pics of when I got the car and now. I will be glad to post them.

Your swapped HP numbers are similar to mine but your torque is better. Our 1/8th times are close too. Have you had the car tuned?

yes it is tuned. but the Horse power #'s with just bolt on everything and not tuned was 220hp. So they tuned 20 more HP out of it.

I had the same experience with mine. They tuned about 20HP from the base line after my cams. Just be careful with getting any more out of an engine with so many miles. Mine was tuned conservatively because I had 130K when I did the cam swap. If my tuner had gotten aggressive he said he could get another 10 out of it but I didn't want to swap an engine in a few thousand miles since I knew I couldn't trust myself to take it easy. I also have a switch chip so I can run the 89 octane tune on the fly instead of having to reflash.

well with my 98 i was full bolt ons ..

port/polish p.i heads/ stage 2 patriot cams , ported bullit intake, 03 bobra bbk cai, hooker lts, borla xpipe with slp lm1s, stock gears, stock wires ftfl!!, bad 02s, bad voltage period, stock maf, 24lb injectors, stock fuel pump, the pump had to be max out in order for it to run and was super super rich chocking the stock fuel pump .. man my car was like **** when i went to get tuned lol

the car made on a mustang dyno 277rwhp, 280tq.. with everything fix and a dyno jet it would be easily 300-315 ... well now im blown and who knows, maybe ill go get tuned tomorrow and put up some numbers with the novi2k!!

I hope to have some track times in 2 weeks.. My car is stock minus the SLP's and newly installed O/R X.. I must say that the car doesnt feel as bad as I was thinking it was going to feel.. I had an 02 Gt with the 4r70w before.. I already have P.I. heads cams and intake to do the swap but I am really thinking about getting some good N/A cams when i do the swap.. It wont be till after the first of the year though..

Also did I read some one only ran a 14.0 with a 100 shot of N2O?

What setup did you have for that pass? What was the DA?

Yes, try these links to help you...

If you know your track and it is listed:
DA Calculator - Density Altitude Calculator - DragTimes.com

If the above link doesn't work, use this one to get the weather.
Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground

This one to calculate the DA.
Engine Tuning Calculator - dew point

If so inclined, this one to DA correct the time slip.

What I do for looking up and checking DA is use

Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground

Use 33478 (PBIR zip code) and when the screen comes up in the Current Condtions box about 3/4 of the way down there is a link for Weather History for this location. At the bottom of that page is a break down in a few minute intervals.

Then I used either the MD DA calculator or the one that TGJ first linked.

You suck. Where I am, everything runs a bit slow... and I'm only at 1000' elevation. The problem is the weather. When it's cold, the DA is good, but the track and tires are crap. Heck, the last time I was at the track was earlier this november and the DA was 2300. What's up with that? Maybe I'd have an 11 if it wasn't for the crappy DA?

Using that link, I figured out the DA for my best run in the 97, 14.2. It was in early march, and the DA was still 367 feet. (98.9%)

Maybe a mis-understanding. I was saying you suck because you live in florida, which has an average altitude of about 2' above sea level.

The car may have 13's in it, but you may also need stickier tires to run that. I could never get better than a 2.1 60' time on street tires at my local tracks. But then again, they don't seem to do much track prep.
