You could hit 13s with that setup driving backwards.

Since its an automatic, I'd imagine that with some sticky tires you'd be in the 12s somewhere on the spray. A good driver with a 5 speed it could be an 11 sec car, but there are a lot of variables that go into it. Building up the AT with some decent internals and a higher stall converter would help too.

300 flywheel or maybe a little more if you have it running right, and have covered all the bases with supporting mods. I also assume you have a decent size TB and MAF?

I'd say about 315 crank HP or 240rwhp which would easily put you in the 13's on motor alone. Definitely 12's with nitrous if you can keep the wheelspin under control.

I was running 12.90s at 106MPH shiftin easy with a Zex 125 dry shot, with stock E7 heads cobra intake, BBK long tubes, OR H-pipe 3.73 tremec HD T-5 pro 5.0 shifter, 19 pound stock injectors, 65mm throttle body and 75 PMAS mass air, probably couda did better only had a couple runs with nitrous blanket heater so u should have no problem puttin it into mid to high 12s BTW without nitrous my car ran 14.90s yeah 2 whole seconds love dat ****!

so how much did that set up cost up 89stang? im trying to spend as little as possible i know speed costs money thats why when i mean cheap i dont mean a $300 set up i mean about 1800 to 2000 dollars but if i can spend less and have a low 13 high 12 car why not. my goals are to have a 90% daily driver and maybe 10% track time on weekends alot of ricers around were i live i would like to shut a few of them up if not all without spending tons

Im not sure which setup my old one or the new one your talking of, my old one which i did some top end damage on was just bolt ons with a 125 shot of nitrous running drag radials it ran 12.90s on nitrous 14.90s without. Zex kit# 82015 $500 and change and a pressure gauge and bottle heater with traction control or also called window switch didn't cost me a grand for everything!. If its my new setup u mean im looking for mid 11s with traction hopefully? im actually gonna back down to my 75 HP jets on nitrous for (block preservation) and the cost u dont wanna know really half of my cost is for alotta bling for the show side. In 2 weeks i'll let u know how she runs

PS u should have no problem breaking into the 12s with your setup, hopefully your runnin drag radials and most important a window switch!

Nitrous is cheap up front, but after you've emptied the bottle a hand full of times, you're almost better off to have just invested in a super or turbocharger to begin with. Nitrous refills aren't cheap, and consider that once the bottle is empty, you'd better just head home. That and you'd better have a nitrous refill location in mind before you go building your car for nitrous, because refill stations are few and far between.

Nothing against nitrous, I mean its great fun, but don't go the nitrous route just because you think you're saving yourself time and money... Because you're really not in the long run. I've had a few friends who had nitrous cars at some point, and they all said the same thing. They went with N2O because it was cheap to begin with, but after a while they admit that they've spent more in refills than they could have ever imagined.

how much is it to refill by you? i pay $35. its pretty cheap. an only sprayin a 100 shot it lasts a decent amount of time in a 10lb bottle. in the long run a supercharger would be better for the money i guess but some people like me just dont have it up front an are impatient so nitrous is perfect lol. just my .02

Well, yea, I think 30-50$ a refill is typical. But after you run nitrous for 3 or 4 seasons, it really starts to catch up with you.

That's just what I've gathered, so to each his own. Like I said, nothing against nitrous, its definitely a lot of fun.

i see what your sayin. i have only used maybe a couple pounds so far with my setup with no times to yet. so im still addicted to the hp an torque rather then the cost lol. plus i got a good deal on my complete kit with all the safety's i need besides fuel pressure and im still just over $500. cant beat it.

i hear you nik it makes sense too, i would love to go turbo or sc i mean it would cost about the same after about a year of using nitrous i mean i would only use it till then just to have that extra "push" when someone wants to run it

the motor im havin built should run real strong N/A to the point of not needing nitrous at all, i just kept it my kit cause i love the stuff that's why im only running a 75 shot just to keep it around. IMHO i like the sound of a N/A motor more especially when the juice hits and also i like the look of N/A motor more than a blown one. I filled my bottle many times and im not even close to being rich i dont mind fillin em at all love to. When i was running my 125 shot with a basically stock motor i was using nitrous like a passing gear

you ran 125 that often? i am tempter to throw the 150 jets in but im afraid that its gonna end the life of my motor an ruin half the summer. my motor runs strong but idk..i get a weird feeling as im lookin at the 150 jets an thinkin bout puttin em in. i figured only 100 shot because my kit is only good for 50hp increments.

HA HA....... my kits a 75 to 125 Zex dry kit i had the 75 jets in the first week the next week 100 than 125 the week after the difference between 75 to 125 was unbelievable. I checked into bigger jets for mine which i found out they have but any bigger than 125 jets and i would have had to change my fuel pump and injectors, The zex kit i have lets u run stock fuel system with 125 jets as long as u dont have any other engine mods, i had 125 thousand miles on my car when i put the kit in the only thing that happened after using it my lifter tick went away LOL it would still be runnin fine if i didn't disconnect my window switch which caused top end damage when i missed a gear but then again i wouldn't have my 333 stroker if i didn't miss that gear ...............on one hand i say man u know the kick ass difference between 100 and 150 there must be!!!...............then on the other 100HP is nice and if your getting away with it your tune is real good dont take the chance till u have some money put away remember unless im wrong 150 shot is about the equivalent of 13 to 15 pounds of boost from a supercharger no real difference with nitrous is your block capable of that? GOOD LUCK i love that juice too i'll never stop using it!!! i read this quote somewhere (Nitrous is proof there is a god and he wants us to be happy!!!!)
