Numbers stamped on hood 2018 Gt

I have a 2018 GT Premium. There is an 8 digit number stamped on the underside of the hood on the left out edge just above the hinge. It appears to be a date. Can anyone tell me what the date indicates? Date of hood manufacture? Date hood was placed on vehicle? Asking because this used vehicle was sold to me with assurance of no previous damage. Yet the date on the hood is after the initial title date.
