My over drive light started flashing again today after going WOT to get onto the highway and it wouldn't turn off. After sitting for a few hours it seemed ok but as soon as I went WOT again it started flashing and wouldn't go off. This happened about a month ago but stopped after I unhooked the battery then hooked everything back up. Will my Xcal pull the code? I wonder what could be going wrong?

From what I understand, the flashing O/D light is an indicator that there is something seriously wrong with the tranny. It could mean any number od things, the most common being a failure with the EPC sensor (electronic pressure control) which is caused by unusually high tranny temperatures. Pull the code to find out what it is and get the tranny serviced immediately before you lose the whole thing.

That is correct a flashing O/D light is like a check engine light for your trans. i would go get it checked out, i had the same thing in my superduty 4 months ago.

Yup. Thats right. Tranny issue. Get it checked out.

I will see if I can pull a code tomorrow with the Xcal. I hope it's just a speed sensor.

Pulled the code and its P0782 2-3 SFT ER. This all started after getting a custom dyno tune and shift pressure change via the Xcal II.

could be a 2nd to 3rd shift selanoid in the trans malfunctioning. itll ultimatly cause your tranny to start slipping shifting from 2nd to 3rd, then its not gonna shift at all the its either replacin it or fixing it
