O/R H pipe, MIL elimantors and Check Engine Light

Well Ive driven the car for about three days after the O/R H and Mil Eliminators, and the Check Engine Light came on. I had just left home so I went back and disconnected the battery for a couple minutes. Then drove it for almost an hour, seems ok. Anyone else have a problem with check engine light coming on with the MIL eliminators??

Also does this also mean its going into LIMP mode where it pulls timing and fatten's up the mixture. I can live with the dash light for a li'l bit but would hate to be far from home and it not running right.

I made sure I only swapped one at a time so as to not mix 'em up. If the light comes on again I'll crawl underneath and make sure they are all tight. :bang: Maybe one got loose from the heat cycling of the exhaust?? I just thought it odd it was the third day I drove it that the light came on. This was the first cold early morning drive I did with it, and it came on within a mile from my house...

What's the code coming up? Mine did almost the same thing.. could drive for 20-25 miles then it would come on.. it was from a wire splice not being tight, although yours could be something else. The code would help narrow down where to look.

I'll have to check when/if the check engine light comes on again, but I havent done anything else to this car for a while. And its never happenned before. :Damnit:

Things were so much easier when all you had to deal with was a carberator and mechanical fuel pump. And you could sit in the engine compartment while wrenching...
