Hey guys, I am getting my Pro Chamber installed soon and I remember reading about getting the metal gasket on the passenger side replaced (from ford) Where the midpipe connects to the manifold. But I called ford and they said there isn't a gasket there...

Anyone have a part # or is there really not a gasket there on a 97 GT?

I don't know if it's the same for your model year, but there was one on my car. I got it directly from the dealer. I no longer have the part # though. It should show on their computer system. When you look at the diagram on the Ford parts computer, it should show the gasket.

I also am not sure if they used one that year, but I dont see how they could not have. I know mine was all busted up and leaked when I switched mine out, I had to get a new one.

Ask for the passenger side exhaust manifold FLANGE gasket. Make sure they dont think you mean the actual exhaust manifold gasket itself, I had that problem, lol.

This?

Before I put on my O/R H I went to Ford for a replacement gasket, and I was told that there is no gasket, and it goes metal to metal. Bolted it up, and with it running had my hands around the mating point. Heard no leaks, felt no leaks.

When you first install the Prochamber, it does sound kinda airy. Under certain conditions, it sounds like it's hissing.

Yep, mine definitely did. I remember when I first put it on and cranked it up I was pissed because it sounded like it had a leak or something. A friend that helped me put it in told me to just wait and let it break in (because he knew we had no leaks) ... Sure enough, a few days later it started sounding perfect.

I dunno about the 2000's ... I just know my 98 has a flange on the driver side and it's flat on the passenger side, which definitely uses a gasket.

KR3Z-9450-AA i think was the part number. My recipt is so dirty its hard to read...

While at it, replace stud with Napa Stud kit as well

Edit - I see that propellerhead beat me to it.....
