Ok, that is your opinion. I would agree with you except I have a stack of timeslips to show a consistent 1-2 mph difference after the swap.

But you don't have to believe me, I'm a noob when it comes to making passes at the track.

1-2 mph gain is a pretty good gain over just swapping from one o/r mid pipe to another.

Picking up the X pipe today around 3pm.
