Hey guys, while ripping my car apart for the new engine, i noticed that only the one O2 sensor is plugged in (drivers side) and the other isnt there at all. The hole in the h pipe is plugged. Is this ok? or did the previous owner screw up?

Uhhhh, yeah, unless you've got ONE HECK of a chip, it's prolly a screwup. What do you think? Missing sensor... whole plugged... Computer contolled...
Yeah, i'd say that's a problem. See if he tapped into that O2 for the sensor reading in the other side.
I would get that fixed.

I dont know about the SN's (totally different bag) but foxes run in FMEM mode with no O2's at all, and they run decently with decent milage.

But with the SN processor being more advanced and so finicky, I bet it is chasing its tail with the lack of one sensor (I dont know what the default mode is on an SN, in other words). As Joe et al, indicated, getting a sensor installed would be good.

Good luck.

The Sn's DO have a "fail safe" mode in which case it will not use the O2's and will go only with the map stored in the computer and the MAF. I"m running this currently on my turbo. However, I also plan on getting a tweecer to delete them as well. It basically eliminates the ability for the car to "learn" or adapt to some of the changes from traveling, etc.
