obsolete part??

Dug into my tranny swap info again. One place said that I need the back-up light wiring harness. Had a part number and everything. Went to the dealership and aparently the part is obsolete and the can't even order it any more!

No, but its not nessisary, just splice the 2 NSS wires together, and then put some 90* bullets on the back up wires. It works fine.

How many wires are there? I haven't actually looked at it. The nss wires, just twist them together and cap them off? (crude example, but the point is that I'm not attaching them to anything else, right?)
