So I went to the Firestone to get my tires changed, and they did not see the decimal point on my odometer. (I have an 04 with a digital odo) So they typed in 178,xxx instead of 17,xxx.x. Is this going to be considered as odometer rollback on a Carfax, when I tell someone that it has lower mileage then what the Firestone guys recorded?

It shouldnt be reported to the DMV if they just changed to tires. Was the 178XXX on the receipt/ticket they gave you showing what work they did? If you keep this as proof that said service was done, just explain to anyone that asks that they wrote it down wrong

Yes, it shows what work they did.

I was just wondering if it'd show up as rollback, a friend had pointed this out to me and I felt like I got

It's just for their and your records...so if you look at your receipt you will know when you had your tires changed.

Only vehicle inspections get reported

When you take your car to a dealership it gets reported. At least on my truck it did from the previous owner...

If you're so worried, just go back and have them write you a new sheet with the correct mileage.

True, i forgot about that. My car have never been to a dealership ever, so that's why it slipped my mind.

My warranty was of no use to me since nothing broke

Yeah i've been to the dealership once for warranty work and when I was there, they got the correct mileage. At least the Ford mechanics know to look for the decimal point. I'm not too worried about this anymore. I'm gonna take your word for it and chill out.
