Odometer

Is it possible for new gears to make the odometer inacurate. I noticed that mine has been going a lot faster than usual. Usually from my house to the school, it's 8 miles, today it said that it was 13. Damnit I've been driving like this for about a month. It probably has an extra miles now.

Yes gears will mess up your mileage. You got to get the correct speedo gear.

mustangs unlimited has the gear you need for 4.10's it's about $20, It's a real easy install as well 15-20 mins with putting the car in the air.

4.10 even with the gear it still will be off.

2 options..

1: Dallas Mustang or whomever and get an electronic speed-cal.
2: take tail shaft of replace the internal drive gear to 6tooth and get the correct speedo gear.
