Anyone know what ford used as a sound deadener in the trunk? Almost a tar like sticky mat that they sprayed over when the car went to paint. I need to replace some of it and want to match it.

Right. I want to do the opposite. I just need a couple pieces of it to patch what is sypposed to be there.

unless it is a concourse restoration I would use dyomat or hush mat,

Honestly, I have no idea.

I'm sure there are a few people out there doing concours restorations on fox bodies and they would have a solution. I don't know who they are though.

I'll try to search some out for you in a couple days, I'm more than a little busy until Saturday night.

Considering hitting the salvage yards with a scraper and hope to pull some off a wreck
