I went to autozone and asked them for a fuel filter...didn't even think about what brand it would be. now that i look at it, there is no brand on it, its some generic thing. think it will be fine or should i return it and get a motorcraft or something?

Edit: went through the autozone.com parts search and it is a DEUTSCH FUEL FILTER for a 2000 FORD MUSTANG GT...only brand they carry apparently

Did the same thing and bought it at the same time with a pcv valve. Looked a little suspect to me so I went on line and got the motorsport oem replacements instead. Didn't think it was worth the risk.

I change mine at 15K miles.

Motorcraft filters are not cheep, I pay emplyee cost at $13 a filter !

Just as long as you change it, a no name will work fine...............
