This is a instant WOT situation. I'm not going to sacrifice upper rpm performance just to fix this aggrivation. My throttle response at the upper rpms is pretty good but I haven't really played with the springs much though.

Fixing this problem is not going to affect your WOT at all. Pump cams are a great investment. The primary squirters aren't too hard to tune for, and are usually pretty damn close out of the box. It's usually going to be the secondaries that cause the problems. I would do what Brian said first. A different spring to open the secondaries a smidgin' later ought to do 'er good. f the car still starts, keep bumping the timing up. You will just have to knock the limiter in the dist. up a few sizes. Right now, and when I had the bottle, I was running 18-22 initial. And had the total at 38-42. The car will be a completely different animal when you compare 13 intial to 18. Throttle response is great. The higher you go with timing though, the more fuel you will need. And you may find when you go to the track and race, it will need more on than on the street. When you hook at a track, it creates a much bigger load on the motor......= more fuel.

Try using the purple or plain steel spring in the vac. sec. Maybe the orange colored cam in the #1 position with #28 squirter.

Ok guys thanks. I'll try what was suggested. I just ordered a set of vacum secondary springs as well as the pump cams and I'll see if I can't get this worked out.

My first thought was the pump cam too.
