I had a BBK o/r h pipe on my last car, and the fit was horrible. I like the sound of it, but if theres not one that fits like it should I may get a Mac pro chamber, or Dr. Gas o/r x pipe. Any of you guys have any suggestions on any other brands of h pipes? Thanks:flag: Chris

I'm not sure the brand is going to make a difference. I have a BBK O/R H-pipe & a Mac with cats. The fit for both was awful. I found one side hung lower than the other when I could get them connected. What I ended up doing was actually cutting the H connector pipe and using a pipe connector from autozone to allow adjustment of each side. I think the connector was 2 1/4" inside to 2 1/4" outside diameter. On the Mac I also had to cut the small diameter cross pipe and use blue tubing to make the connection. Doing this made the pipe adjustment possible. Remember not to tighten any of the nuts all the way until you have all the connections made, then start on one side front to back, do the other side, then the connector pipe(s). I also use a jack and short 2x4 by the H pipe to cat back connection to keep the pipes up as I tighten the bolts.

I just installed a summit o/r h 2 weeks ago. Paid 115 shipped for it. Fit was good except the air pump tube? it was a pain would of only took a half hour start to finish without that little tube giving a headache. Also i have no other mods to my exhaust beside flowmaster super 40's which are welded into the stock catback.

thanks guys! i may have to check in to that pro chamber. ive never heard one in person (and no computer speakers), but have heard theyre pretty decent.how does it compare to the h (w/ 2 cam flows)? might have to try something new. i'll check out the summit h too, thats a good deal.
thanks ej95cobra-will remember that if i get a crappy pipe again.

i have a full MAC setup. fits pretty well, adjusting the tail pipes is the only problem usually. i did have a mac h-pipe (no cats) with 40 series flows on my old stang. i loved the sound. i never had a problem with fitment.

i bought a mac h last spring and fitment was fine, bolted up to stock headers and mac cat back fine with minimum alligning issues, maybe they've changed the style of them since you bought yours since it comes in three pieces now, allowing for some decent adjustment....

Used to have the BBK LT's with BBK o/r H-Pipe anf Flows. The Fit was ok but not that great. Had to modify the H-pipe to make it fit though. Basicly spread it by like 2-3 inches on the headers side. Then I sold all the mods and this setup. Now I recently bought a MAC o/r H-Pipe and the fit is better. Actually it is pretty good. Straighter under there. Only thing is that it didnt bolt directly on the Flows. Had to make (2) holes on the flange a little bigger to accept the Flowmasters. Sound is exactly what I like to hear from a mustang. I recommend it and it is pretty cheap also.

I have a full mutt of an exhaust, MAC headers, BBK OR X, and Flows... fits right on there.

I think it all depends on what day of the week your part was made... mondays and fridays sucking and tues-thurs being spot on.

I might be a little late, but my MAC o/r h-pipe fits pretty decently. Even the smog tube hooked up without any trouble. The only complaint I have is the driver side pipe knocked against the transmission crossmember. I simply wrapped it in some thermo-tec exhaust wrap, and it hasn't knocked ever since. That was over a year ago.
